Dubai-based digital agency MyCont-ent has joined the Entertainment ID Registry (EIDR), bringing yet another international firm into EIDR’s ranks.
In addition to being a longtime facilitator of EIDR for its clients, MyCont-ent offers a wide range of digital services, including OTT, YouTube and social media channel management, music distribution and protection, SEO services, content and influencer marketing, and website creation.
Founded in 2018, MyCont-ent counts some of the world’s biggest content firms among its partners, including Meta, Google, TikTok, and more.
MyCont-ent’s Youcef Bouab said the company’s operations revolve around the seamless distribution, reuse, and protection — specifically on YouTube and Facebook — of digital media. Becoming an EIDR member made sense for the company, he said.
“When managing a big (2,500-plus titles) and multi-decade cinematic catalog, we ran into a glaring industry blind spot: historically, almost no one thought about the actual international registration of Arabic content,” Bouab said. “We were dealing with complex metadata, regional translations, and Arabic-to-English transliterations, but relying on fragmented identification systems. We joined EIDR because scaling our digital rights management required a universal source. Integrating EIDR standards help us to definitively take a step back and properly organize and properly identify our assets, and bring Arabic cinema into the global registry ecosystem.”
EIDR also just makes the job easier for MyCont-ent and its clients, he added.
“It means our team spends less time manually cross-referencing databases and more time optimizing distribution,” Bouab said. “For our clientele, it directly translates to asset security. Because Arabic content has traditionally lacked formal international registration, giving intellectual property a unique and universal ID ensures it is shielded from piracy, tracked accurately for revenue, and primed for seamless delivery to any modern VOD or OTT platform.”
