Choi will be among the speakers for the panel “Connecting the Dots: Evolving Identifier Systems for Complex Attribution and Rights Management.” She’ll be joined on the stage by Chris Horton, EVP for strategic technology at UMG; Sylvain Piat, director of business and technology for CISAC; and Till Evert, senior media executive for new business at GEMA. Presented by the Digital Data Exchange (DDEX) and Meta, the MusicTech 20/20 Summit, taking place at the University of Toronto Conference Centre, will be a full-day conference focusing on the technological advancements needed to enable the music industry to run an efficient and cost-effective operational environment in the future. The conversations will begin with a review of the music industry’s operational improvements over the last 20 years and discussions on the current music technology landscape before diving into the future.
