Intellectual Property Monetization: People, Processes and Technology
Hollywood is synonymous with exploitation of intellectual property. Leveraging the complex digital ecosystem for optimization of revenues from channels, territories and platforms is the formidable challenge faced by the business. Disparate systems and data bases are being integrated and enhanced to better manage rights, track usage of content and its distribution, and incorporate metadata along the way. Integration of management of rights, contracts, licenses and talent are yielding greater benefits. Systems are being architected to know, protect, value and monetize the content efficiently and comprehensively. Potential for predictive analytics and machine readable licensing are also being explored.
