EIDR 2.5 Deployment to Swap Existing De-Duplication Subsystem

EIDR is pleased to announce the schedule for the deployment of EIDR 2.5. This release will swap out our existing de-duplication subsystem for a completely new one. There will be no change to the API, but de-duplication results will change. The date for this release has been delayed to April 25, with the process beginning Friday, April 24 at 1 p.m. PT/4 p.m. ET. We will need to clear any pending tokens on production prior to the conversion, and always ask that bulk manual reviews be scheduled in advance with EIDR Operations. For EIDR 2.5, April 24 will not be an available date for any bulk manual review requests.

Of note:

  • Users should not submit catalogs for registration on Friday, April 24 (contact [email protected] for more details).
  • At 1 p.m. PT/4 p.m. ET on April 24, the Production registry will go into read-only mode (no match or register transactions will process, but resolve and query will continue uninterrupted).
  • On or before 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 25 we expect normal registry operations to resume (with the new 2.5 system in place).
  • Due to the release schedule delay, the user testing window has been expanded and now runs through April 21 (contact Richard at [email protected] for more details).
