EIDR Issues 2.5 Millionth ID

The Entertainment ID Registry (EIDR) this month issued its 2.5 millionth unique ID, the organization announced.

ID 10.5240/FC7D-4986-97A2-4512-2F16-R was assigned to the 2005 French mystery film La Boîte Noire (The Black Box), registered on behalf of UniFrance. Founded in 1949 and merged with TV France International in 2021, Unifrance is the organization responsible for promoting French cinema and TV content worldwide.

Located in Paris, Unifrance employs around 50 staff members, as well as representatives based in the U.S., in China, and soon in Japan. The organization currently brings together more than 1,000 French cinema and TV content professionals (producers, talents, agents, sales companies, etc.) working together to promote French films and TV programs among foreign audiences, industry executives, and media.
