The Entertainment ID Registry (EIDR) is welcoming Delta Air Lines as a new member, with the major flight operator marking a new industry entering the EIDR fold.
Delta’s in-flight entertainment offering provides more than a 1,000 hours of free entertainment, including more than 300 films, premium TV series from HBO, MasterClass, and Paramount+, podcasts and playlists from Spotify, and a wide selection of games.
Delta also offers nearly 20 live TV channels via satellite, including every major broadcaster and cable news outlet, along with ESPN, Food Network, HGTV, Golf Network, TNT and Univision.
It’s the podcasts and video games that make Delta stand out for EIDR, according to Hollie Choi, managing director of EIDR.
“Delta has done a lot of work already getting new content registered, content we don’t see a lot of, including podcasts, TV content, and video games,” she said.
While in-flight entertainment specialists Anuvu and Above have been longtime EIDR members, Delta Air Lines is the first flight operator to join the entertainment ID registry service. Delta ranks No. 1 worldwide in several airline categories, including revenue and brand value.
