New York-based media giant Versant has become the latest company to join the ranks of the Entertainment ID Registry (EIDR).
Founded in 2025 as a Comcast subsidiary, the company consists of networks previously owned by NBCUniversal, including MS NOW, CNBC, USA, SyFy, Rotton Tomatoes, E!, Golf and GolfNow, and Oxygen True Crime, along with sports management technology firm SportsEngine, and its live and on-demand streaming service SportsEngine Play.
Versant is also home to movie ticketer Fandango. That includes Fandango At Home, the on-demand electronic sell through service that includes more than 250,000 movie and TV titles.
“Versant is an industry-changing force in sports, news, and entertainment — home to iconic and trusted brands that inspire, inform, and delight audiences,” the company said. “Our unique combination of content and services enrich the cultural fabric, igniting passions, sparking conversations, and connecting people to what they love most.”
Versant will host its inaugural investor day on Dec. 4, with presentations by Versant CEO Mark Lazarus, COO and CFO Anand Kini, and other senior leadership. To view the live webcast, click here.
