Nate Rasmussen, Director of Enterprise Metadata Services for The Walt Disney Co., has joined the board of directors for the Entertainment ID Registry.
Rasmussen takes over for Andrew Wahlquist.
Rasmussen has worked with Disney for more than 25 years, and in his current role oversees a team of 16 librarians and three product managers who handle data governance and related products within the digital supply chain, EIDR, SAP, and the Enterprise Master Data Management program.
Rasmussen said he hopes to bring a different viewpoint and insights to the board, built on working in various roles at Disney. Before his current role at Disney, Rasmussen was the Librarian for Walt Disney Archives, as well as a Digital Asset Manager.
“EIDR unifies the industry by setting a great standard for data, allowing us to collaborate better,” he said. “It brings a clearer understanding of the assets available to the industry.”
