The Entertainment ID Registry (EIDR) is welcoming two new members to its board.

Michael Kraskin, director of product management for video metadata at TiVo for its parent company Xperi, is taking over for Pete Sellar, senior director of strategy and standards at Xperi. Additionally, Jim Helman, CTO at MovieLabs, is taking over the EIDR advisory board member for that organization, replacing MovieLabs CEO Richard Berger.

Kraskin has been at his current role with TiVo and Xperi since mid-2020. Prior to that, he was the executive director of the North Carolina Coalition for Fiscal Health for three years. Before four years serving in multiple roles at Blue Cross North Carolina, Kraskin was director of product development and director of audience development at BBC Worldwide. He’s also been an executive producer with AOL, and a senior producer with Comedy Central.

Helman has been the CTO of MovieLabs for nearly two decades. He also currently serves on the board of governors for the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE). He’s worked as a consultant for NEC, Comcast, TiVo, YomoMedia, and others, and was the chief software architect for Liberate Technologies.
