EIDR’s Kroon to Talk Data at Oct. 9 DAMA Days

Richard Kroon, senior director of technical operations for the Entertainment Identifier Registry (EIDR), is among the speakers set to present at the Oct. 9 DAMA Days: Data & AI — Building the Intelligent Enterprise https://damala.org/dama-days/ event in Los Angeles.

The full-day event, being held at Loyola Marymount University, will be designed to sharpen attendees’ data and AI edge, with insights, hands-on practice, and solution experts shaping what comes next.

Kroon will share insights around:

• Media and entertainment metadata governance.

• Record de-duplication: rules vs. AI.

• Data quality and how it remains a constant battle.

Kroon has previously held senior positions with the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), Technicolor, MovieLabs and Southbay Motion Picture Technologies. In addition to being an award-winning videographer, he is the author of numerous technical papers and several books, including “A/V A to Z” and “3D A-to-Z,” and was honored with the 2024 Technology Leadership Award from the Digital Entertainment Group (DEG).
