EIDR Hits AWS Data Exchange

The Entertainment ID Registry (EIDR) is now available on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data Exchange, a service that allows AWS customers to access third-party data using AWS cloud. As a subscriber, you can find and subscribe to thousands of products from qualified data providers.

Both free sample and annual subscription versions of EIDR are available.

“EIDR provides a standardized and globally recognized identification system for media assets,” the AWS Data Exchange reads. “By providing EIDR data on the AWS Data Exchange platform, users can benefit from standardized metadata and consistent identification across different content providers, enhancing data consistency and reducing ambiguity. Content providers, studios, distributors, and other industry participants submit their own data to EIDR, including titles and versions for films, TV shows, podcasts.”

The offering comes as Redshift, XML and JSON data sets.

“As we evolve EIDR to meet the ever-changing media industry, the EIDR team is excited to be able to offer our data using Redshift. It makes the EIDR dataset native to AWS customers, which means that you will be able to access our data faster and more easily. It’s a game-changer for those looking for efficiency in their own evolving ecosystems,” said Hollie Choi, EIDR’s managing director.
