Filiz Bahmanpour, VP of product at Gracenote, the content solutions business unit of Nielsen, has been named to the Entertainment ID Registry (EIDR) board of directors. This comes on the heels of Gracenote joining EIDR in April.
Bahmanpour brings more than 20 years of experience as a leader in the media and technology space to Gracenote. She is currently responsible for the Media and Advertising market, helping content creators, broadcasters, streamers, and ad tech partners realize maximum impact from Gracenote’s content distribution, discovery and analytics capabilities which streamline the global content supply chain. Bahmanpour joined the company in 2021 to oversee Gracenote Studio Solutions, a suite of products anchored by Studio System developed to meet the present and future needs of content studios.
Prior to joining Gracenote, Bahmanpour was with NBCUniversal for more than a dozen years in a range of roles. As VP of TV production technology, she built and launched innovative solutions to support the company’s production studios. Earlier, Bahmanpour worked in the Filmed Entertainment Group as Senior Director, Enterprise Title Management and Rights Technology. In this role, she oversaw internal registration for NBCUniversal titles and represented the company within cross-industry consortia including EIDR.
Prior to entering the media and entertainment world, Bahmanpour held positions with UBS Investment Bank, TradingMarkets.com and Ogilvy & Mather. She also serves on the board of Women in Technology Hollywood (WiTH) and has produced three short films.
“The EIDR Annual Participant Meeting at HITS Spring was both a rewarding and encouraging experience for me,” Bahmanpour said. “Hearing colleagues and friends come together to discuss content management, workflows and distribution made better by metadata and IDs made me feel right at home. I’m enthusiastic about Gracenote’s role on the EIDR board and the group’s collective ability to push the media and entertainment industry forward.”
