Following successful content and media provenance events in New York, Paris, and Bergen, Norway, the International Press Telecommunications Council (IPTC) is planning its next Media Provenance Summit for April 16 in Toronto.

The event focuses on the implementation of the technical standard from the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA), which calls for the adoption of digital provenance techniques across the media and entertainment industry, helping both content creators and consumers trace the origins and edits of digital content.

The event will be held at the offices of news agency Reuters, with IPTC offering insights into how C2PA techniques are already helping newsrooms trust the authenticity of digital content.

“Bringing C2PA implementation experts together from media organizations in North America and beyond, the Media Provenance Summit will look at real-world implementation of C2PA media provenance technologies in newsrooms,” IPTC’s Media Provenance Summit event page reads.

Registration for the event is invitation-only. To register interest, click here.
